Polly Track vs Wikiloc
Wikiloc is a community of outdoor tracks (hiking, cycling, motorcycles, 4x4) with an app to follow them; Premium costs €19.99 a year. Polly Track is a free motorcycle navigator for road and dirt, currently covering Italy.
At a glance
- Tracks or routes. In Wikiloc difficulty belongs to tracks uploaded by users; the route planner, with Premium, covers hiking, cycling and running only. Polly Track calculates motorcycle routes on dirt by the difficulty you choose: Easy, Medium or Hard.
- Together. A GPX track downloaded from Wikiloc opens in Polly Track from "Share" and can be followed from the start, from the nearest point or in reverse.
- No signal. Wikiloc has free offline maps and follows saved tracks offline. Polly Track calculates and recalculates routes on the phone, even with no signal.
- Watch and car. Both have an Apple Watch app. Polly Track also has Android Auto, which Wikiloc does not.
- Sharing. In Polly Track, sharing tracks comes with version 2.
- Weather and photos. In Wikiloc, weather comes with Premium; in Polly Track it is along the route, for everyone. Both show photos of places; in Polly Track they come with the map and show with no signal.
